Commuting to Dublin by Public Transport

Dublin has a fantastic range of public transport options, making it an extremely convenient and cost-effective way of commuting to work. Both Dublin sites have easy access to the Luas, excellent bus connections and for those commuting from further afield, there are DART commuter services plus Irish rail network into Dublin Heuston and Dublin Connolly stations.

The TFI Leap Card is a great way to save money, offering a prepaid travel card which gives holders the public transport fares, often up to 30% cheaper than cash single tickets.

Valid on bus, train and tram services across the TFI network as well as on many non-TFI commercial bus services, holders can take advantage of features like such as fare capping and the TFI 90-fare in eligible fare zones.

New Leap zonal fares for Dublin and surrounding commuter areas up to 50km from Dublin came into effect during April 2025. These offer a range of multimodal options and other features for those commuting into Greater Dublin and onwards to Central Park.

If you are commuting regularly, further savings can be made via the Taxsaver scheme – full details available via the Travel & Commuting pages on the internal intranet.
